Rodgers & Hammerstein "Dim The Lights" Collection Ornament (2023 Collection)

Their iconic partnership started with Oklahoma! and ended with The Sound of Music. But who could forget all of their artistic creations in between!?  As part of our "Dim The Lights" Ornament Collection, our Rogers & Hammerstein Ornament features two layers of painted wood, etched and engraved with every show that these theatrical geniuses created during their Broadway careers. Each ornament is handmade in NYC by our Green Team and imbued with Broadway love and magic!

Beginning in September 1952 with the passing of newly-minted Tony Award winner Gertrude Lawrence during her run of The King And I opposite Yul Brynner, all 41 Broadway marquee lights are dimmed at the same time for one minute to acknowledge a theatrical legend. It is Broadway's highest honor. Our "Dim The Lights" Collection of ornaments seeks to further celebrate the artistic contributions of these legends with a custom caricature encircled by all of their Broadway appearances.
